Six Injured in Three Car Crash

Six people have been sent to the hospital following a three car accident in Las Vegas on May 20, 2012. The accident occurred at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Nellis Boulevard. Authorities believe that alcohol may have been a factor.

1 800 411 Pain strongly discourages the consumption of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle. Cdc.gov reports that there are thirty alcohol related fatalities every day in the United States. This is the equivalent of one fatality every 48 minutes. As a company dedicated to safer driving practices, 1 800 411 Pain recommends adhering to all road laws. Not only is drinking and driving irresponsible and dangerous, it is also illegal. Serious repercussions await individuals who are convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Help make the roads a safer place for everyone. Do not drink and drive.

Accident Related Fatalities at an All Time Low
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released 2011’s traffic accident data on May 7, 2012. The data reflected the lowest fatality rate per mile since record keeping began in 1921. The data revealed that there were 32,310 car accidents in 2011, a drop of 1.7 percent from 2010. FoxNews.com reports that “This is the lowest number of accident related fatalities in over 60 years.” Experts believe the significant decrease can be attributed largely to the decline of the economy. Studies show that motorist drive less when the economy is down. “The number of miles driven on America's roadways declined last year by 35.7 billion miles, or 1.2 percent, the safety administration said (FoxNews.com).” Experts are unclear of whether these lowered rates will rise once the economy is restored to its normal state. Past events indicate that fatality rates do rise once the economy is reestablished, as people tend to drive more. As a company dedicated to improving road safety, 1 800 411 Pain is pleased to see the number of accident related fatalities at an all-time low.
1 800 411 Pain is a constant reminder to motorists of safer driving practices. They continue to educate drivers on the importance of cautious driving and staying alert. 1 800 411 Pain is eager to continue educating drivers on safer driving practices in an effort to keep accident related fatalities low. Three Car Accident Sends One to the Hospital
A three-car accident on April 30, 2012 sent one man to the hospital and left two drivers shaken, but uninjured. The accident occurred in Farmington, New Mexico. Officials say the accident was caused when Aberto Pineda, the driver of a Ford Mustang, failed to yield on a left turn. Pineda collided head on with Paul Bennett, who was driving a Dodge pickup truck. The impact forced Bennett’s truck into the side of a Dodge minivan driven by Debbie Tiley. Both Tiley and Bennett walked away from the wreck virtually unharmed. They attribute this to the fact that they were both wearing a seat belt and that their airbags correctly deployed. "They definitely made a difference," Bennett said. "Doesn't do nothing for the quiver though (daily-times.com)." Pineda was not as fortunate. Not only did he incur injuries in the accident, but officers say he will be summoned for failure to yield on a left turn. 1 800 411 Pain strongly urges anyone traveling in a vehicle to wear a seat belt. As was demonstrated in this story, seat belts have a proven record of saving lives and reducing injuries.
1 800 411 Pain is a company dedicated to providing the most up to date information regarding accident statistics and driver safety. 411 Pain is a big advocate of safer driving practices. Their goal is to keep drivers informed of the safest possible driving trends in hopes of making the roads a safer place for everyone.

Three Car Accident Sends Two to the Hospital
Traffic was interrupted for hours following a car accident involving three vehicles in Billings, Montana on May 9, 2012. Police say a female driver who failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming vehicle caused the accident. The collision forced the woman’s vehicle into a lumber truck stopped at a red light. Firefighters had to extricate a male passenger from the woman’s vehicle. Both he and the female driver were transported to the hospital. Neither of them sustained life-threatening injuries. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured in the accident. 1 800 411 Pain highly recommends adhering to traffic laws at all times. Something as simple as failing to yield to an oncoming vehicle with the right of way can produce devastating results.
1 800 411 Pain encourages motorists to drive as safely and cautiously as possible. Staying alert and aware of road signs and other drivers is vital. 1 800 411 Pain Sponsors Book Fair at
Phillis Wheatley Elementary School

1 800 411 Pain has become very involved in charity events in the last several years. Primarily focusing on children, 411 Pain has directed most of their charitable efforts towards anti-bullying and literacy for kids. 1 800 411 Pain is a proud sponsor of The Prevention Team, a South Florida based program designed to educate students of all ages on the dangers of bullying. 411 Pain also regularly sponsors local book fairs for underprivileged youths.  Since collaborating with The Scholastic Read and Rise Literacy Campaign, 1 800 411 Pain has made a huge impact in the community.
411 Pain’s next appearance will be at Phillis Wheatley Elementary School in Miami, Florida. The event will be held on May 15th in the evening. 1 800 411 Pain will be presenting a check for $1395 for 279 students.  411 Pain provides each student with a five dollar gift certificate in hopes of ensuring every child who attends the book fair leaves with a book.
Literacy rates vary greatly from state to state in the U.S. Statistics show that the ratio of books per child is significantly lesser in lower income households. For example, “In 2011, the National Institute for Literacy (NIL) estimated that 47 percent of adults in Detroit, Michigan are ‘functionally illiterate’, meaning they have trouble with reading, speaking, writing and computational skills. According to findings by the Detroit Regional Workforce Fund, half of that illiterate population has obtained a high school diploma (Wikipedia.org).”  These are extremely alarming figures considering that illiteracy rates are even higher on a global scale. Greatergood.org reports that “Over 780 million adults in the world are illiterate. On average, nearly one in three children does not complete five years of primary education, the minimum required for acquiring basic literacy.”
Illiteracy is a very large issue worldwide. 1 800 411 Pain is dedicated to limiting its prevalence among America’s youth as much as possible. Their sponsorship of book fairs such as the one being held at Phillis Wheatley Elementary School, not only gives children the opportunity to own books. It gives them hope. Many of these students would be unable to purchase books on their own due to an inability to afford them.  411 Pain’s primary goal is helping these students succeed regardless of their economic background.
1 800 411 PAIN is proud to continue our commitment to education,” said company owner Robert Lewin.

Cell Phone is Suspected Cause of Accident
that Sends Two to the Hospital
A cell phone is yet again, believed to be the culprit behind a two-car accident that sent two people to the hospital. The accident occurred on May 3rd, 2012 in Highland Township, MI.  According to officials, a 39 year old man reached down to grab his cell phone and unintentionally crossed over his lane into oncoming traffic. The man collided head on with a 25 year old woman driving a 2010 Ford Fusion.  Both drivers were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The man and woman were both wearing their seatbelts. Had they not been wearing their seat belts, the outcome could have been much worse. Each of these drivers are extremely fortunate to be alive.
1 800 411 Pain urges motorists to refrain from using a cell phone while driving. “The National Safety Council (NSC) estimates that at least 1.6 million crashes in the United States each year involve drivers using cell phones and texting.” 1 800 411 Pain encourages all motorists to limit or completely eliminate any distracting activities that could impair their ability to safely drive. As a trusted source for the latest information in safer driving practices and accident news, 1 800 411 Pain is pleased to provide motorists with ways to decrease the likelihood of an auto accident.
