Sleep Deprivation Hazardous While Driving

According to the Division of Sleep Medicine at the Harvard Medical School, over 100,000 accidents per year are the result of drivers falling asleep while driving. These accidents result in 1,550 deaths and 71,000 injuries a year. The society we live in is characterized by fast-paced lifestyles and extremely busy schedules, leading to an increased number of people suffering from sleep deprivation. These statistics are extremely alarming considering the number of drivers that travel the roads every day. As drivers, what can we do to protect ourselves?

After 911, Call 411

For years, 1-800-411-Pain has been serving accident victims, and the community as a whole. Accidents of any type can place an incredible amount of stress on an individual’s life, completely disrupting their present circumstances. For example, Daniel Stalker’s life was changed drastically after a routine procedure went terribly wrong.
After his wife became pregnant to his fourth child, Daniel Stalker decided to have a vasectomy. This procedure is generally a routine one and does not warrant any concern for complications. Daniel Stalker’s experience, however, was much different. Despite being anesthetized, he began to experience tremendous pain during his surgery and even started vomiting. Stalker says that the doctor (Paul Dewart, MD) tried to proceed with the procedure despite his claims of experiencing intense pain. Stalker says that Dewart did not stop until he vomited. Reports add that one of Stalker’s testicles turned black and actually doubled in size. Daniel Stalker eventually had to have both of his testicles removed. This was an entire two years later. He believed that having his testicles removed would be the only way to relieve the intense pain he had been suffering since the procedure. Twelve years after the operation, reports say that Stalker was still experiencing pain.
Horror stories such as this are becoming all too common. It seems as though negligence and malpractice among medical practices is happening more and more often. This is why it is crucial to have access to experienced, competent medical treatment. For example, if you are injured in an auto accident, you want the peace of mind of knowing that someone has your back!
1-800-411-Pain is a medical and lawyer referral service.  Access to reliable medical and legal advice is very important. If you or someone you know is injured in a car accident, call 411 Pain to see how they can help you.

Robert Lewin, owner of 411 Pain, reminds you not to drink and drive and to always wear your seat belt.

411 Pain Gives Back To The Community

1-800-411-Pain has made huge strides since their start over 15 years ago. 411 Pain has gone from being a local business to a nationally recognized icon! They have recently expanded their coverage areas to over 15 cities and states nationwide. These areas include: Fort Meyers, Naples, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Ocala, West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucy, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boston, Minnesota, Memphis, Atlanta, and Colorado. 411 Pain is looking forward to servicing these communities just as diligently as it has the South Florida area for so many years.
411 Pain is appreciative of the success their community has helped them achieve and believes deeply in giving back. Aside from sponsoring community events such as concerts, barbecues, and parties, 411 Pain also contributes greatly to charity events throughout the nation. Two areas of focus in which 411 Pain has become a key factor are literacy campaigns and anti-bullying programs. 411 Pain is a huge proponent of the entire anti-bullying movement. They are a title sponsor of “The Prevention team”, an anti-bullying program that invites professional athletes to speak to and mentor kids on the importance of maintaining a “bully-free” mentality. 411 Pain is committed to giving back and helping others. They are extremely grateful to be in a position to positively change so many lives.
411 Pain has also become very involved in literacy programs for the youth. Since teaming with The Read and Rise Foundation, 411 Pain has donated tens of thousands of dollars to schools throughout the nation in sponsorship of book fairs for elementary school students. Through these types of events, 411 Pain has been able to supply kids who normally would not be able to purchase books, with certificates enabling them to take home five dollars worth of books. This is done in hopes of ensuring every child who attends leaves with a book.

411 Pain’s most recent strive for literacy was in the form of a visit to Martin Luther King Elementary School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 411 Pain donated a total of $2,125 for 425 students during this particular event. They accomplished a lot with their visit to Martin Luther King Elementary School. It was a very successful event. The students left with a completely new outlook on the importance of receiving a proper education, and a newfound passion to strive for academic excellence. The kids tend to be extremely appreciative, considering that other people they have never even met are so concerned with their futures. These events do more than just supply kids with reading material. They change lives.

411 Pain accomplishes a lot through their associations with both literacy campaigns and anti-bullying programs. They have vowed to give as much to their community as their community has given to them. With businesses in over 15 locations nationwide, now 411 Pain can expand their charity work to even more communities across the nation!

411 Pain Branches Out Nationwide

411 Pain the source of all of the 411 Pain Reviews has aquired from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), the main source of car accident fatality reporting in the United States, 37,261 people died in fatal car accidents nationwide in 2008. The NHTSA has reported that in 2002, motor vehicle traffic crashes were the 8th-leading cause of death among all ages that year. When broken down by age, crashes were the number one cause of death for every age from three through 33.

411 Pain’s Crusade For Education

Thanks to 411 Pain’s significant sponsorship presentation, a star-studded charity basketball game was organized by Miami Heat Players, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh in an effort to raise money for Mary’s Court, a foundation created by hall of famer and FIU basketball coach Isaiah Thomas and his wife. They donated $50,000 to the First Generation Scholarship Fund. That $50,000 donation was matched by a donation by the program itself. It is the only program of its kind to match private donations with an equal one. 411 Pain’s significant sponsorship contributions allow for events such as this to continue their services to the community. Thomas was quoted as saying   “Our vision for this foundation is to serve economically disadvantaged youth by facilitating academic pursuits, providing opportunities for character and social development, nutritional and physical health, safety, and encouraging parental involvement. We are proud to provide critical scholarship support to students at FIU who will be the first in their families to earn a college degree and we are deeply appreciative of 411 Pain’s generous contributions to our cause.”
Nearly 40 percent of FIU students will be the first generation in their family to attain a college degree. This fall, about 600 students received scholarships that will continue to allow this to happen. 411 Pain’s sponsorship opportunities continue to make events and programs like this possible. “1-800-411-PAIN is proud to continue our commitment to education by supporting Thomas and his Mary’s Court Foundation,” said company owner Robert Lewin.
411 Pain’s commitment to education is further demonstrated through their efforts to fight illiteracy. For years, 411 Pain has been very involved with ending illiteracy in South Florida and throughout the nation. The Scholastic Read and Rise Literacy Campaign has collaborated with 411Pain in an effort to bring about more awareness of the prevalence of illiteracy in today’s youth. They have organized events focused on getting kids more interested in reading and excited about learning! 411 Pain has also participated in fundraising events at book fairs designed to ensure that every child attending receives a five-dollar gift certificate. This is done in hopes of ensuring every child who attends leaves with a book.
411 Pain is pleased to be of such service to their community, but is also very excited to be so involved in supporting national efforts to increase educational opportunities for today’s youth.
